Shrieking Shorties

It's Oct. 31st and just as promised here it is:
Forgotten
(click me)

"Forgotten" got rewarded with the second place in the WCM Halloween contest, but looking at the first three places I'm very suprised that it had a chance. Lafawnduh and Caruu did a great job with "The Orchard" and Johan Vagstedt's "An Unusual Night" is simply amazing.
I really enjoyed all of this year's contest entries and I'm pretty suprised about the high quality. Good to see that WoW machinima is moving away from dancing orcs in Windows Movie Maker.

Halloween is coming...

The work on the series already shows some decent progress, to be precise, 99% of the video work is done, only most of the audio things are missing, but we're also getting closer to Halloween and I'm pretty sure I can show you something you're not used to from WoW machinima yet.

Well, this is the only thing I can show you before October 31st, but I can tell you that the Halloween project seems to work out as planned and... well, as I said... it won't be something you've seen in other machinima.

Welcome to the jungle

I know - abusing titles of worn out cock-rock songs ain't very creative, but I can't come up with something great every time ... or once ...
That aside, the trailer is of course still in the works, but the movie (and the trailer of course) make progress and looking at the current status, I'd say its only a few days until the first moving pictures are more or less releaseable.

Also: Hoodoo Shopping got reviewed on WoW Insider; unfortunately not by moo_money anymore, but in the end the idea of movies is to watch them and not to read them anyway, right?
So, instead of writing more and more weird words you don't want to see, I'll just leave you with some not-so-very-impressive-but-still-worth-posting pictures.

What are those murlocs up to, what does Raymond do in the jungle and why is there a dojo made of solid gold? Only the wind knows... and the metal boxes.

Clean your hut!

Alright, here we go.
My submission to the BlizzCon 2008 machinima contest.

(click me)

Some post-release words:
I do indeed suck at time-management; so this movies was done in only 4,5 days. I needed almost the whole month of the contest period to come up with a viable idea - 2 hours later that idea was discarded and traded in for the (much better) idea of my brother Mr. Phil D. Lirious who came up with that infomercial in his mind in only a few hours.
I'm the picture-man, not the story-man *sniff*

Nothing more to say for now... need to get back working on that trailer :)

Beards, hats, ninjas and beer!

Aye, there is a series in the works as I already mentioned and for now everything looks like it will work out somehow. There's a good script for epsiode 1, something like plan for the following episodes and also a title:

At the moment I'm not allowed to share any deeper information, but the official trailer will be released this week if nothing unexpected happens - like HDD crashes or the apocalypse - the usual stuff.

Ohhh... I almost forgot!
Be sure to check in on October 6 for the lastet release of moving pictures!

Facemelting

Pretty unusual, but surely also the only one to ever be released. A PvP movie... yeah. Now stop throwing stuff at me - I'm innocent.
The footage for the video was captured in season 3 (late january 2008) and was rotting on my HDD since then. A friend of mine kept on annoying me for several weeks to release that stuff, so I apprently sacrified those 3 hours of editing.
Just in case you want to watch it - click the picture above or here.

The good news is:
I'm working on a whole machinima series at the moment and with some luck the first sneak-peek might be available today. The trailer will be released by the end of the week if everything works as planned and I hope to have the first episode up and running in two or three weeks.
